Saylor Cruises Participated in Royal Caribbean International Familizaration Weekend
As part of my continuing efforts to keep abreast of the best cruise opportunities for my clients, I recently attended Royal Caribbean International Familiarization Weekend, a three day-long training on the award-winning cruise brand. Saylor Cruises was among a select few agencies invited to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to experience the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s groundbreaking ships firsthand. Paula Saylor participated in comprehensive training seminars that imparted in-depth knowledge about Royal Caribbean’s offerings, from the vast array of complimentary onboard experiences to custom shore excursions, specialty dining, and the cruise line’s private beach destinations.
We toured both the Oasis and the Allure of the Seas as well as gaining valuable insight to Royal Caribbean’s continued efforts to not only intrigue but also meet the ever changing needs of our clients.
This experience will definitely enable me to help my clients choose the ship from the Royal Caribbean portfolio, that most suits what my clients are looking for in a cruise vacation.
Agents experienced an intense weekend including both work and play. The weekend included staying in local recommended pre- and post-cruise hotels, and tours of ships including Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas, and the beautiful sister ship Allure of the Seas. These are two of the most innovative vessels on the market. Seminars interwoven throughout the weekend loaded agents with details on the brand’s newest and most innovative ships, new experiences onboard and on shore, plus new destinations among Royal Caribbean’s roster of more than 280 ports worldwide.
“We rely heavily on travel agents, our valued partners, to showcase the wide range of incredible experiences our ships and destinations offer to their clients,” said Vicki L. Freed, Senior Vice President of Sales and Trade Support & Services for Royal Caribbean International. “Our Familiarization Weekend is the best way we can build upon their knowledge and grow their expertise, so they can continue to be the go-to resource for clients looking to book a Royal Caribbean cruise.”
In the past year, Royal Caribbean has won accolades including “Best Cruise Line Overall” (from the Travel Weekly Readers’ Choice Awards, for the eighth consecutive year), “Best Cruise Ships” for Oasis and Allure of the Seas (Frommer’s), and “Best for Families” (Cruise Critic Editors’ Picks Awards).
