Transatlantic Cruise - Rome to Miami - Carnival
Carnival Cruises is offering a great transatlantic cruise starting in Rome, Italy on Sunday, October 28, 2007. This 14 day crossing visits Rome (Civitavecchia), then Lovorno Italy, Malaga Spain, and Funchal (Madeira) Portuagal; and then continues with seven more Carnival Fun Days at sea before arriving in Miami Florida on November 11, 2007.
Saylor Cruises offers our online customers the opportunity to book directly online with Carnival Cruises starting at $799.*, while we continue to offer you all of the great personal service you have become accustomed to when you travel with Saylor Cruises… where we believe every cruise should be the vacation of a lifetime.
• $799 per guest based upon double occupancy. Government taxes/fees, optional air transportation and pre and post cruise vacation packages are additional. Ship registry: Panama
Carnival offers great shore excursions on this crossing. While in Malaga Spain you have several to choose from. One of my favorites is the tour of Marbella and Puerto Banus. Here are some of the highlights.
Visit two of Spain's most prestigious and well known resort towns, experiencing their charm, climate and beautiful landscapes.
On this beautiful excursion you will:
• Board your motor coach and take the panoramic coastal road, for approximately one hour, to Marbella.
• Proceed on foot to the old town where you will see the picturesque narrow streets and houses with typical flowered balconies and many quaint shops.
• View the Plaza de Los Naranjos, one of the most beautiful squares in Spain, along with the City Hall and the Nuestra Senora de la Encarnación church. Be given free time to shop or relax.
• Continue on to Puerto Banus, one of the most famous sporting ports in Spain.
• Opened in 1960, it now has more than 1,000 berths for luxurious yachts, such as the one belonging to the King of Saudi Arabia.
• Have free time here to stroll around the exclusive designer boutiques, restaurants and cafes.
Note: Comfortable shoes are recommended, as most of the streets are cobblestones and uphill climbs. This excursion is therefore not recommended for guests with walking problems.
Due to tour timings, please have a large lunch. Please note that November 1st, 2007, is a public holiday and only some souvenir shops and cafes will be open.
